Making a Difference
Who are we and what do we do
The Community Committee plays a key role in the daily life of Red Beach School. We are a group of enthusiastic parents, staff and BOT representatives who work together to support the school in various ways. We are a sub-committee of the Board of Trustees and whilst our primary focus is fundraising we also create an important consultative link between the school, parents and the wider community. We are proud to be able to assist the school in providing valuable extra resources, which directly enhance the teaching and learning environment for our children.
2011 Goals
This year our aim is to raise funds to purchase:
- Classroom IT equipment including net books, flat screen televisions, laptops and data projectors
- Air conditioning for the upstairs classroom block (to be spread over a 2/3 year period)
- A classroom resource package for every classroom
- Our fundraising target for this year is $50,000 so far we have raised approximately $17,00.00 to date 31.8.11

- Sausage sizzles – Dad’s Day and Grandparent’s Day
- Mother’s Day Raffle
- Annual Quiz Night and Live Auction
- Cadbury Chocolates Fundraiser
- Art Attack
- Gala – 13th November 2011
