Vision Statement

Our school

Red Beach School is a community, empowering lifelong learners, to achieve and make a difference.”

We are a decile 9 Year 0 to 6 school located 40 km north of Auckland on the Hibiscus Coast. The school opened in 1989 with a roll of 271 pupils and has grown to approximately 670.  (81% NZ European, NZ/Māori  5%, Other European 3%, Pasifika 1% and Other 10%).  The school has an attached unit called Motuora for intellectually and or physically impaired children, catering for up to 17 pupils. Motuora provides the school with a special character in that it truly supports the work of the unit and provides unique opportunities for an inclusive education for these children. It offers an opportunity for the children in the main school to be involved with and provide role models for children with special needs. Our school is organised into six communities that nurtures a sense of community. An RTLB Cluster serving 34 schools is based at Red Beach School.

We will achieve this vision by;

1)   Empowering each individual to demonstrate the values which will enable them to be an effective member of any community.

2)    Ensuring that all individuals are empowered to take ownership of their own personalized learning

3)    Enabling all individuals at Red Beach School to achieve at or above expected levels

4)    Empowering each individual to apply the qualities of lifelong learning

5)    Empowering each individual to be a self-aware and confident to make a difference to themselves and others

6)   Ensuring that the Red Beach School environment is developed and enhanced to enable our vision to be realized
